A neighbourhood saree store in Bachupally had walk-in customers and word-of-mouth trust, but almost no digital footprint. Here's how a year of consistent content and modest ad spend turned that around.
A trusted local store with almost no digital presence.
Chennapatnam Pattu Cheerala Angadi had built a loyal customer base the old way — foot traffic, referrals, and a reputation in the neighbourhood. But none of that existed online. The Instagram page sat at 395 followers with no content rhythm, no visual identity, and no plan to turn browsers into buyers.
They brought me in to run the social presence end-to-end — planning, creating, scheduling, and putting a small ad budget behind the content that worked.
- ✕ No content calendar — posting was random and infrequent
- ✕ Almost no reach beyond existing followers (395 total)
- ✕ No paid promotion — 100% dependent on organic, near-zero reach
- ✕ No consistent visual style across posts
- ✕ No presence on Facebook to complement Instagram
Consistent content first. Ads to amplify what worked.
A real content calendar
Built a monthly plan around new arrivals, festive collections, and everyday styling content — replacing ad-hoc posting with a predictable schedule the store could rely on.
Scheduling and consistency
Every post and story was planned and scheduled in advance, so the page stayed active even on the store's busiest days — no gaps, no missed festive windows.
Promotional Meta Ads
Layered a modest ₹5,000/month ad budget on top of the organic content to push reach beyond the existing 395-follower base and get in front of new, local audiences.
Facebook as a second channel
Extended the same content system to Facebook, adding watch-time and engagement on a platform the store had never used with any structure.
Real reach, on a small budget.
| Followers (before → after) | 395 → 2,175 |
| Instagram content views | 1.8M |
| Instagram reach | 988.1K |
| Instagram content interactions | 8K |
| Facebook content views | 1.7M |
| Facebook watch time | 23h 18m (↑63.6%) |
| Ad spend | ₹5,000 / month |
| Engagement duration | 12 months |
Note on attribution: most of the view volume above came from paid promotion layered on organic content — the ad spend did the heavy lifting on reach, while content quality and consistency drove the engagement and watch-time gains. In-store order/inquiry attribution wasn't tracked separately for this project.
Consistency turned a dormant page into an active one.
The store didn't need a rebrand or a new strategy playbook — it needed someone to show up for it every week. A content calendar and a small, steady ad budget did more than any one viral post could have: they gave the page a pulse.
The system mattered more than any single campaign. Once posting became predictable and a little paid reach was layered on top, the follower base grew more than five-fold — proof that small, consistent budgets can work for a neighbourhood retail brand, not just large-scale campaigns.
